I've recently been seeing a new aspect to my games. When I take over an AI city by conquest, sometimes in addition to the unhappy population (red), I also see black haired folks that look like bikers. Any significance to these or is it just a different icon you see when playing at Deity level?------------------ Frodo lives! Better dead than "Red"... or green... or blue... or yellow... or orange... or purple... or white.

simply put, those guys are double unhappy citizens. They must be made unhappy before they can be content. You must be over the city "limit" for your current government.Has to be Monarchy.Varies with difficulty level, distance from capitol, corruption and map size but you wll see your 1st "extra" unhappy between city 6 and city 12.Or so. Somewhere after that, again depending on those factors, you start to see "double" unhappies. They look pretty cool if nothing else. |

Yeah - you start to get a tad concerned when you found a new city and the very first citizen is a pirate. By some bizarre quirk of the game (thanks to DaveV for catching this one) a size two city with two pirates is made content with precisely one unit of martial law - put in a second and the city goes pear-shaped. (This last under Monarchy of course) ------------------ ____________ Scouse Git[1] "CARTAGO DELENDA EST" - Cato the Censor |

SG1 - it takes 1 unit and the Hanging Gardens to pacify a size two city with two black-hatted citizens (or a black and a red, after you exceed 4x the "magic" number of cities). |
