I submitted both of these to Apolyton over a year and a half ago, about the time DanQ and Mark were merging their sites to form Apolyton, and I thought that they got lost in the shuffle and were never posted.A couple of weeks ago, I received a letter from someone with questions about the Enhanced mod, and a few days later Mark had Real Europe on the list of maps he most wanted converted to CtP. Imagine my surprise tonight when I discovered that both of these files were among the most downloaded in their respective sections on the site.
I would be interested in any comments anyone has concerning either of these two creations. Though I now spend my time on CtP, the Enhanced mod represented all of my opinions on how to improve civ 2 from my experience of playing hundreds of games, so I am interested in what others thought of my views. Btw, for those of you who gave up on CtP, I would like to invite you to give it another try. Due to the work of people here at Apolyton, we have made major improvements to gameplay and AI performance over what you saw when the game was released. Those of you wanting a change may be pleasently surprised at what you find. |
